Can I buy jewelry on EMI at Lucira?

Yes, you can buy eligible jewelry from Lucira on EMI. 0-cost EMI is available in tenures of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The EMI covers the eligible diamond component of a piece, so on a piece that combines diamonds and gold, only the diamond part is financed. A CIBIL check and KYC are required.

If you are comparing jewelry EMI plans, the three things to check first are what the EMI covers, what you pay upfront, and what is needed before the piece is handed over. Each is explained below.

What is jewelry on EMI?

Jewelry on EMI means paying for a piece in monthly installments instead of paying the whole price at once. EMI stands for equated monthly installment. Paying in full settles the entire price at purchase, while EMI spreads the cost over a series of monthly payments.

It is a way to plan a larger purchase such as an engagement ring, a mangalsutra or a pair of diamond earrings without a single large payment for the financed part. What Lucira's EMI covers is set out in the next section.

What Lucira's EMI covers

Lucira's EMI covers the eligible diamond component of a piece. We do not finance the gold component, which is paid as a down payment. How much of a purchase can be paid in monthly installments therefore depends on the diamond component of the piece you choose.

What is financed

The eligible diamond component of the jewelry, which you can pay in monthly installments over your chosen tenure.

What is not financed

The gold component, which is paid as a down payment.

How buying jewelry on EMI works

You choose an eligible piece, complete the required checks and approval, and the jewelry is handed over while you pay the remaining EMIs on the approved schedule.

  1. Choose an eligible piece. EMI applies to the eligible diamond component of the piece.
  2. Complete the required checks. These include a CIBIL check and mandatory KYC.
  3. Go through approval and order formalities. The jewelry is handed over once these are complete.
  4. Receive your jewelry and continue your EMIs. You pay the remaining EMIs on the approved schedule.

Do I have to wait until the EMI is fully paid?

No. You do not have to wait until your final EMI is paid to receive your jewelry. For eligible ready-to-ship (RTS) and made-to-order (MTO) orders, the jewelry is handed over once the required EMI, KYC, approval and order formalities are complete, and you then continue paying the remaining EMIs on the approved schedule.

Eligibility for jewelry EMI: CIBIL check and KYC

Jewelry EMI at Lucira requires a CIBIL check, and KYC is mandatory for EMI orders. These checks, together with approval and the other required order formalities, are completed before the jewelry is handed over to you.

CIBIL check

A CIBIL check is part of the EMI process for every EMI order.

KYC

KYC is mandatory. It is completed along with approval and the other order formalities.

Not every piece is eligible for EMI, so check that the piece you want qualifies before you plan around it.

EMI tenure, cost and monthly payment

Lucira offers 0-cost EMI on the eligible diamond component of a piece, with tenures of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The processing fee is ₹0, and no extra EMI cost is charged to you.

3-month EMI6-month EMI9-month EMI12-month EMI

Your monthly amount depends on the amount financed and the tenure you choose. Because EMI covers only part of a piece, the amount financed is that part and not the full price of the piece. A shorter tenure means fewer, larger monthly payments; a longer tenure spreads the same financed amount over more months.

Gold jewelry and EMI: what to know

Lucira does not finance gold. EMI applies only to the eligible diamond component of a piece, so gold jewelry without diamonds is not covered, and on a piece that combines diamonds and gold, only the diamond part can be financed. The gold component is payable as a down payment.

What you can do instead

If you would like to plan a purchase over time in another way, see the Vault of Dreams savings scheme. To understand gold purity, read what a 22 carat hallmark means.

Jewelry payment plans: EMI vs Vault of Dreams vs paying in full

Lucira offers three ways to pay for jewelry: EMI, the Vault of Dreams savings scheme and paying in full. EMI lets you pay the eligible diamond component in monthly installments. Vault of Dreams is a savings scheme with nine installments, where Lucira pays the tenth; it involves no lender. Paying in full settles the entire price at purchase.

How it works Tenures of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months; CIBIL check and KYC; jewelry handed over once the required formalities are complete Nine installments, with Lucira paying the tenth You pay the whole price when you buy
Which one suits you? Choose EMI if you want to pay the diamond component in monthly installments after approval. Choose Vault of Dreams if you prefer to save toward a piece. Pay in full if you want to settle the entire price at purchase.

Planning your purchase

Decide the piece first, then the payment plan. The diamond component and the tenure you choose decide your monthly amount, and the gold component is paid as a down payment.

  • Engagement and wedding jewelry: rings, mangalsutras and sets are big-ticket purchases where spreading the diamond component over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months can help.
  • Gifts and anniversaries: for a gift such as a Valentine's Day piece, confirm that the piece is EMI-eligible and that approval and KYC are completed before you need it.
  • Everyday diamond jewelry: earrings, pendants and bracelets follow the same rule: EMI covers the eligible diamond component only.
